Here’s the TRUTH: most companies don’t have a real handle on their culture, or worse – don’t believe it’s worth assessing. Culture guru Edgar Schein says that ‘if you don’t manage your culture it will manage you’. As high-level executives, you have charge of ‘managing your culture. You need to examine your culture since you will be held responsible for the shortcomings. You have to dig deeper into what’s happening in your company, because your employees’ performance and the organisation’s performance is a direct result of your culture.
It is well advised to tap into the knowledge of the people within your organization, as they are very well placed to know the issues first-hand. Also, a proven scientific method offers a far deeper analysis of the culture in your organisation, allowing you to diagnose deficiencies across departments and individuals critical for running a successful business. It’s like taking an Xray of your business.
