The Culture Of Banks As Reported By The Royal Commission

Can’t say that I’m surprised by the recent findings and revelations of the Royal Commission into the financial sector – it’s been evident for some time. Why did it happen? What can be done to avoid it happening again? These are now the key questions. That the culture has been lacking is pretty obvious. And the RC has told the sector to stop apologising and get the culture fixed. What is surprising is these organisations have large internal functions which are supposed to be closely managing the culture. Maybe it’s time to get some external perspective?
